Kendall Currence contributing the team high, 13 points, off the bench on Sunday, the Northeastern women's basketball team was unable to slow the fiery shooting of rival Boston University as the Huskies played to the 72-56 defeat at Case Gym.

Shannon Todd totaled 11 points and six rebounds for Northeastern (4-7), which witnessed its four-game winning streak come to an end. Todd earned her 11 points during the game's opening seven minutes, hitting each of her first three 3-point jumpers and helping the Huskies front their largest lead of the day at 14-9.

Ayanna Dublin added eight points and six rebounds from the NU starting five yet fouled out with 8:15 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Mide Oriyomi matched Dublin's eight points and led the Huskies with four steals, setting a rookie season high.

Northeastern conceded its second highest shooting percentage of the season to Boston University (5-6), which shot 51 percent from the field and 47 percent behind the arc. The Terriers outscored the Huskies during every quarter, swinging an eight-point advantage during the second quarter to cushion their 37-26 halftime lead.

Katie Nelson led BU with 29 points, shooting nine-for-13 from the floor and six-for-nine from downtown. Nia Irving paired 18 points with nine rebounds for the Terriers, fouling out five seconds before Dublin had during the final quarter.
