BOSTON– Led by a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double from
Tomas Murphy, the Northeastern men's basketball team took down Towson 73-58 on Senior Day at Matthews Arena and closed out their home season on a seven-game win-streak thanks to a second-half surge.

Prior to the vengeful victory over the Tigers, the Huskies honored their senior class of

Redshirt junior Donnell Gresham, who entered Northeastern alongside Green and Miller, added 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting from deep, including three key second-half treys that propelled the Huskies to the victory.
His defense on Towson's leading scorer Brian Fobbs, held Fobbs to just 10 points and three rebounds.
FIRST HALF
The Huskies and Towson were basket for basket through the first 10 minutes of action thanks to a couple late shot clock threes from Murphy. After Towson got ahead via a Fobbs and-one, Gresham put the Huskies up by a pair draining an NBA three followed by a Pusica fastbreak trey to make it a 18-13 ballgame with just less than eight minutes to go.
After the Huskies got out to a 28-19 advantage following a jumper from Green, Towson closed out the half on a 10-0 run to take a 29-28 lead into the locker rooms at the half.
SECOND HALF
The Huskies stayed within range of Towson for the first five minutes of action, until Gresham took charge draining a trio of treys which helped the Huskies to a 12-2 run and a 46-39 lead with 11 minutes to go in the game.
Northeastern continued to build on that lead thanks to Murphy's play and got out to their biggest lead of the day thanks to a putback from Murphy to make it a 61-50 advantage with less than three minutes to go in the game. A deep trey from Pusica made it a 12-point game with just over 90 seconds remaining en route to the Husky win.
