BOSTON – Playing in support of finding a cure to all women's cancers, the Northeastern women's basketball team will host its annual Play4Kay Game on Sunday, Feb. 24, when the Huskies welcome Hofstra to Cabot Center of a 2 p.m. CAA contest.

COACHES vs. CANCER 3-POINT CHALLENGE
• Throughout the remainder of the 2018-19 regular season, the Northeastern women's basketball team will be participating in the 2019 Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge – a national initiative where collegiate and high school basketball teams unite for a common cause to end cancer.
• The Huskies have set a fundraising goal of $1,000 and are actively encouraging fans to pledge their support for every 3-pointer NU collectively hits as a team.
• As of Feb. 23, Northeastern has hit 37 3-pointers, which translates to approximately $488 raised.
• Visit the Huskies' Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge webpage today and view Northeastern's season progress by clicking here.

WITH A WIN ...
• Northeastern would post its 16th victory of the season, tying the Huskies' 2017-18 season win total.
• NU would lay claim to 16 wins for the second time under the leadership of fifth-year head coach Kelly Cole.
• The Huskies would clinch a winning overall record during consecutive seasons for the first time since the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 campaigns (first time during the program's CAA tenure).

RECORD WATCH
• Northeastern seniors Gabby Giacone and Jess Genco are on pace to set the Huskies' career records for appearances and starts, respectively.
• Giacone's 116 career appearances are four shy of the program record currently held by Ashlee Feldman (2005-09) and Dani Iervolino (2009-12).
• Genco's 114 starts are one fewer than Melissa Kowalski's program record (115).

REGULAR SEASON TRENDS
• Northeastern is 13-0 this season when holding its opponent to less than 40 percent shooting from the field (5-0 during CAA play).
• The Huskies are 11-3 when outrebounding their opponent, experiencing their defeats at Marist (+1), at Towson (+14) and against Drexel (+8).
• NU has posted a 12-2 record this year when registering 14 or more team assists.

UP NEXT
 • Northeastern will play its final regular season home weekend at Cabot Center when the Huskies entertain UNCW (Friday, March 1, 7 p.m.) and College of Charleston (Sunday, March 3, 1 p.m.).
