AUSTIN, Texas – For the second-straight season, junior
Megan Clark earned a spot in the NCAA Championships, and for the second-straight season Clark competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, representing the Northeastern swimming & diving squad at the elite event.
Clark began the meet with the 50 freestyle on Thursday, finishing in 39th overall with a time of 22.62. On Saturday, she wrapped up her time at the event in the 100 free prelims, cruising to a 49.56 finish, taking 42nd overall.
Last season, Clark became the first swimmer in Northeastern history to qualify for the NCAA Championship and just one of two Colonial Athletic Association's swimmers to qualify for the championship. This year she achieved the exact same fate.
Earlier this season, Clark had another strong showing at the 2019 CAA Swimming & Diving Championship taking gold in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.43, just .14 off the CAA all-time record she set last season.
