Huskies Complete Day 3 Of CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. — The Northeastern women's swimming and diving team continued competition Friday night at the CAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex, highlighted by multiple championship and consolation finals appearances, as well as a 200 Free Relay third place finish.
 

  • Freshman Alex Fuller earned a fourth-place finish in the 100 Fly championship final, touching the wall in 53.41, while junior May Bradburn added a seventh-place finish with a time of 54.85.
  • Junior Mary Nordmann posted a strong swim in the 100 Fly consolation final, placing 10th overall with a time of 54.70, and sophomore Kate Kerber followed with a 16th-place finish in 56.42.
  • Freshman Abigail Gowern secured a top-10 overall finish in the 400 IM, placing 10th in the consolation final with a time of 4:24.66.
  • Senior Anna Verlander led Northeastern in the 100 Back championship final, placing fifth overall with a time of 54.29, while senior Teagan Osga added a seventh-place finish in 55.50.
  • Freshman Sophie Bromley earned a ninth-place overall finish in the 100 Back consolation final after touching in 55.42.
  • Northeastern capped the evening with a podium finish in the 200 Free Relay, as Mary Nordmann, Alex Fuller, Kotoko Blair and May Bradburn combined for third place in 1:30.99. The relay time also set a new school record, surpassing the previous mark established at the 2023 CAA Championships.
  • The Huskies finished the night in fourth place, earning a total of 614 points.

The Huskies return to the pool Saturday for the final day of competition at the CAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
