BOSTON – With its ticket to the 2019 CAA quarterfinals already punched and its postseason seed on ice (No. 6), the Northeastern women's basketball team will look to close the regular season with a four-game winning streak on Saturday, March 9, when NU makes its inaugural trip to Elon's Schar Center. Tipoff between the Huskies and the Phoenix is scheduled for 2 p.m.
CAA POSTSEASON PICTURE
• Northeastern (8-9 CAA) has clinched the No. 6 seed in the 2019 CAA tournament, which will take place from March 13 to March 16 at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware (hosted by the Delaware Blue Hens).
• The Huskies have secured their fourth consecutive bye to the league quarterfinal round.
• Northeastern's lone CAA quarterfinal victory took place as the No. 6 seed during the 2016 tournament, when the Huskies upset third-seeded Hofstra, 65-54. Then-freshman

• Entering March 8, three CAA teams are in the running to earn the No. 3 seed and oppose the Huskies during the CAA quarterfinals: Delaware (11-6 CAA), Towson (11-6 CAA) and UNCW (10-7 CAA). NU split each of its three regular season series against these three potential opponents, sweeping its three home games.
HUSKIES' POSTSEASON RESUME
• As of March 8, the Huskies rank No. 101 in the RPI, No. 27 in non-conference RPI and No. 124 in overall strength of schedule.
• From Nov. 13, 2018, to Feb. 5, 2019, Northeastern received votes during 13 consecutive releases of collegeinsider.com's Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll – its longest streak during program history.
• The Huskies' lone quadrant I & II win took place against Maine on Dec. 22 at Cabot Center. NU had been ranked No. 10 in the Women's Mid-Major poll at the time while the Black Bears were ranked No. 15.
• Northeastern has posted eight victories against the CAA, which ranks No. 10 in conference RPI (as of March 8). The Huskies also have also earned two road victories against opponents from conferences that rank higher than the CAA in the RPI: Nov. 28 at Florida (SEC) and Dec. 15 at Providence (BIG EAST).
2018-19 SENIOR CLASS
• Northeastern's 2018-19 senior class has compiled 61 wins – the eighth most by a four-year graduating class during program history.
• The 2018-19 senior class has attained the most wins (61) and best winning percentage (.504) since the 2000-01 senior class posted 67 victories (.573).
• Point guard
Jess Genco currently holds career program records in minutes played (4,523), games started (118), assists (523), 3-point field goals (290) and 3-point field goal attempts (817).
• Considering
Jess Genco (1,496 career points) and
Gabby Giacone (1,078), Northeastern is competing with two active members of its 1,000-point scoring club for the first time since the 2012-13 season (Deanna Kerkhof, Kash Cannon).
COACHES vs. CANCER 3-POINT CHALLENGE
• Throughout the remainder of the 2018-19 regular season, the Northeastern women's basketball team will be participating in the 2019 Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge – a national initiative during which collegiate and high school basketball teams unite for a common cause to end cancer.
• The Huskies have successfully met their $1,000 fundraising goal, having hit 69 3-pointers (as of March 8).
