Women's Basketball Announces 2025 Transfer Class

BOSTON - Northeastern women's basketball head coach Priscilla Edwards-Lloyd is thrilled to announce the addition of five transfers as well as an incoming first-year on Thursday for the 2025-26 season. 

"We are very excited about this recruiting class. Each of these young women brings a unique skill set and perspective that we believe will contribute immensely. They are high-character, fiercely competitive, and fully committed to the vision of our program. We look forward to the impact they'll make as we continue to build this program."

Camryn Collins - Guard, 5'9, Foxboro, Mass (Rider University)
Camryn Collins

Collins comes to Northeastern from Rider University where she spent one season. Collins saw action in 28 games for the Broncs, making 27 starts. The incoming sophomore averaged 8.9 points per game and added 3.2 rebounds per game. The Foxboro native notched an impressive .530 field goal percentage in her first season while shooting 70.4% from the free throw line. 

Edwards-Lloyd on Collins: "We are thrilled to welcome Camryn to our program. She is a dynamic guard with a natural scoring instinct and a high motor. Her ability to create in transition will significantly enhance our offensive pace and efficiency."


Morgan Matthews - Guard, 6'0, Lawrenceville, N.J. (George Washington University)

Matthews comes to Northeastern from George Washington University where she spent one season. Matthews saw action in 17 games for Colonials, registering six starts. The incoming sophomore averaged 3.3 points per game and added 2.0 rebounds per game. The New Jersey native dished a season-high four assists against La Salle in December. 

Edwards-Lloyd on Matthews: "Morgan is an elite-level athlete with exceptional speed and ball-handling ability. Her length and agility will strengthen our perimeter defense, while her transition game adds another dimension to our offensive attack."


Justice Tramble - Forward, 6'0, Detroit, Mich. (South Carolina State
JUSTICE TRAMBLE

Tramble comes to Northeastern from South Carolina State University where she competed in one season for the Bulldogs. Tramble saw action in 25 games for the Bulldogs, tabbing 13 starts for the team. The incoming sophomore averaged 3.7 points per game to go alongside 3.9 rebounds per game. The Michigan native averaged 16.2 minutes per game. 

Edwards-Lloyd on Tramble: "Justice will add valuable depth to our front court. She brings a strong physical presence in the paint and a knack for rebounding."


Andrea Martinez - Forward, 6'1, Barcelona, Spain (Gardner-Webb University
Martinez

Martinez comes to Northeastern from Gardner-Webb University where she competed in two seasons for the Bulldogs. Martinez saw action in 27 games for Gardner-Webb this season, with 11 starts. The incoming junior averaged 3.5 points per game in her two-year span with the Bulldogs to go with 3.3 rebounds per game. The Spain native tallied a .618 field goal percentage. 

Edwards-Lloyd on Martinez: "Andrea brings a wealth of experience and offensive versatility. She's a seasoned player with a high basketball IQ. She will make an impact both in the post and on the perimeter for us." 


Nariyah Simmons - Guard, 5'2, St. Louis, Mo. (Austin Peay State University
Simmons
Simmons comes to Northeastern from Austin Peay State University where she competed in one season for the Governors. Simmons was one of three members of their roster to start in all 31 games this past season, while averaging 18.7 minutes per game. The incoming graduate student averaged 2.7 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game. The Missouri native compiled 33 steals and 37 assists for the Govs. 

Edwards-Lloyd on Simmons: "Nariyah is a veteran point guard with excellent speed, and playmaking ability. She is a confident and relentless competitor who will elevate our team on both ends of the floor." 


Beatriz Pérez Pulgar - Guard, 5'7, Galapagar, Spain (IES Diego Velázquez
Bea Perez
Pulgar joins the Northeastern team from Galapagar Spain. The incoming first-year is a three-time silver medalist for the Madrid U14, U16 and U18 teams and was a member of the Spanish National 3v3 U17 team. The Spain native most recently competed with Baloncesto Torrelodones Madrid. 

Edwards-Lloyd on Pulgar: "Bea is an elite competitor with a sharp offensive skill set. She is a multi-level scorer who stretches defenses with her range and creates opportunities with her off-ball movement."
