LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Piling on the runs on Sunday, the Northeastern baseball team ran away to victory during its series finale at Siena as the Huskies won the rain-shortened, five-inning affair, 11-0, at Connors Park.

After splitting Saturday's doubleheader, Northeastern (22-25) opened Sunday's game with a four-run first inning, during which the Huskies brought eight batters to the plate.

Corey DiLoreto and Ian Fair registered consecutive leadoff singles while Jake Rosen and Jake Farrell followed with four-pitch walks, putting NU on the scoreboard before an out had been made. Once Fair had darted home via a wild pitch, Scott Holzwasser delivered the two-RBI double that put the Huskies in front, 4-0.

Northeastern tacked on two runs to its total across the next two innings, extending its lead courtesy of Fair's second-inning, RBI double and Spenser Smith's third-inning, RBI single.

Pitching with the lead, Kyle Murphy kept Siena (15-28) in check, retiring 10 consecutive batters after the Saints had cracked two first-inning singles. Murphy threw five strikeouts across his five-inning complete game win, surrendering no walks while preventing a Siena runner from reaching third base.

With the rain persisting, Northeastern brought 10 batters to the plate during the fourth inning. Farrell muscled a three-run home run to push the Huskies' lead to 9-0, three batters before Cam Walsh unloaded a two-run homer to right field to cap the game's scoring.

Danny Crossen was one of three NU reserve entries during the fifth inning, making a sliding catch in right field as the final out before the game was officially called due to rain.
