After besting Theresa Findlay's previous record of 60.04 meters with a distance 60.64 meters at the Tiger Track Classic on April 5, Belvit returned the next week at the UConn Northeast Challenge with an even better mark, throwing for 62.04 meters on April 13.
She would go on to post two more scores throughout the season unmatched by any other Northeastern woman, recording distances of 61.33 meters at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships and 61.09 meters at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships.
