Huskies Travel to Connecticut For The UConn Dog Fight

BOSTON - The Northeastern track and field team will travel to Storrs, Connecticut to compete in the UConn Dog Fight on Saturday, April 4. A total of 52 athletes will represent the Huskies, with events set to begin at 11 a.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. WEEKENDS RECAP —Six athletes have recorded all-time marks over the first two weekends of the outdoor season. At the UCF Black and Gold meet, freshman Matthew St. Cyr launched a 61.82m javelin throw to rank fifth all-time, while freshman Aiden Ray clocked 53.21 in the 400m hurdles to move into ninth. At the Raleigh Relays, graduate student Kyle Sarney placed third in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:41.67. Graduate student Stephanie Kriss competed in both the 800m (2:10.79) and 1500m (4:31.64), earning spots of 10th and ninth all-time, respectively, while graduate student Lucy Abdow's 4:31.64 in the 1500m ranks eighth all-time. Freshman Lola Satre Morales also impressed, taking fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:08.17.
  2. BATTLE OF THE HUSKIES — Northeastern returns to the UConn Dog Fight with the bulk of its athletes. The Huskies battled fiercely at last year's UConn Dog Fight, earning many all-times and first places. The meet was highlighted by victories in both the men's and women's 4x100m relays, with the women's squad running 45.94 (third all-time) and the men posting 40.21 (fourth all-time). Junior Savannah Blair captured the women's 100m title in 11.56. In the men's 100m, junior Brunner Williams dashed to second with a 10.49, and Stroup set a time of 10.60, a personal best and the tenth fastest time on the All-Time Outdoor Performance List.
  3. ACTION PACKED APRIL — The Huskies begin their busiest month of the season, where they compete in 11 meets ranging along the East Coast. Following this weekend of competition, the Huskies take on the South Florida Invitational and the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational for two last meets in the Sunshine State and one-day meets at Providence and UMass. They will then prepare for upcoming meets in North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, before returning home to Boston and competing in additional meets at UConn and UMass
