BOSTON— The Northeastern men's soccer team will open its 2019 season at home against Massachusetts on Friday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Scouting the Minutemen. Massachusetts will be opening its 2019 campaign against Northeastern. The Minutemen were picked to finish ninth in the A-10 Preseason Poll and welcome 12 newcomers onto their 2019 squad.
- Home sweet home. The Huskies will open their 2019 season at home in the friendly confines of Parsons Field. Northeastern will host 10 matches at home this season.
- 2018 rewind. Northeastern completed its best home season at Parsons Field (5-2-0, 15 points) since 2012 (8-0-1, 25 points). The 2018 CAA tournament marked the Huskies' first postseason berth under the leadership of head coach Chris Gbandi. Northeastern clinched its 2018 CAA tournament berth on the final day of the regular season, upsetting No. 13 UNCW, 1-0, at Parsons Field.Â
PARKING AT PARSONS FIELD
- Due to the tight scheduling of the games, parking in the Parsons Field lot will ONLY be available to fans who have purchased season-long parking passes for the men's and women's soccer seasons. There will not be a pay-to-park option available on this day.
- Fans who HAVE purchased men's or women's soccer passes and display them in their vehicles will be allowed to enter the lot starting at 1:00 p.m., one hour before kickoff of the men's soccer vs. UMass game.
- Fans who HAVE NOT purchased a season-long parking pass will not be allowed to enter the lot. Instead, they will have the option to park on the streets surrounding the facility free of charge.Â
