NEWTON, Mass.  –  Despite a goal and an assist from Lauren Rowe, the Northeastern Field Hockey team fell 6-2 to No. 19 Boston College on Sunday afternoon at the BC Field Hockey Complex.

Rowe assisted on the Huskies' first goal of the day and added a goal off of a penalty corner. Julia Gluyas was tested all day finishing with nine saves, and the six goals allowed on 21 shots faced.

BC (3-3) got out to a fast 3-0 lead in the first half, taking that same lead into halftime. The Eagles added another one in the third quarter before the Huskies (3-2) were able to get on the board.

Lauren Rowe went to insert the ball from the team's defensive side of the field near the 16 yard mark, flipping it up and across midfield where it took a Northeastern bounce right into the path of Camille O'Conor. O'Conor put her stick to the ball, dribbled into the circle and backhanded a shot at an incredible angle for the Huskies' score.

Following that goal, the Eagles added another one to the total but Lauren Rowe made it a 5-2 game netting one off of a penalty corner opportunity. After Kasidy Anderson didn't connect on her initial strike, she gathered the ball and smartly passed to Rowe who snuck one past the BC defense for the score.

BC added another goal to seal the victory in the fourth quarter.

The Huskies return to the field next Friday night when they continue their road trip up to Orono, Maine where they will square off with Maine on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.
