BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team will put its perfect 3-0 home record on the line as the Yale Bulldogs come to Parsons Field on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Scouting The Bulldogs: Yale is coached by former Northeastern men's soccer player, Brendan Faherty, who is in his first year with the Bulldogs. Yale is led on the field by Ellery Winkler, who has 11 points on four goals and three assists, and Aerial Chavarin who has five goals on the season. The Bulldogs are 4-2 on the season, with one loss coming against then-No. 23 Virginia Tech, 2-1, and the other in double overtime against St. John's, 2-1
- At The 'Zerfoss' She Looks Calm And Ready: Senior midfielder Kerri Zerfoss scored the golden goal in the 109th minute of double over-time to finish off the Huskies come-from-behind 2-1 win over San Francisco. This is Zerfoss's second season in a row with a double OT game-winner, as she gave the Huskies the go-ahead goal in the 106th minute against Dartmouth last season.
- A New Series: For the first time in program history, Northeastern will take on Yale. This is the third match this season where the Huskies will face an entirely new opponent.
