BOSTON - Northeastern (9-8, 3-2 CAA) men's basketball will travel to Charleston, S.C. to take on the College of Charleston (11-7, 4-1 CAA) this Thursday night inside TD Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and the game will stream on FloHoops.com.
ROAD WARRIORS
The Huskies started the conference season 2-0 with wins at Towson and James Madison. Northeastern has won four straight games on the road, dating back to last season, falling at Charleston in overtime, 88-79 (2/16/19). The Huskies are 5-2 on the road this season.
TOP SCORERS COLLIDE
Northeastern's Jordan Roland is second in the CAA and No. 11 in the NCAA in scoring with 21.6 points per game, while Charleston's Grant Riller leads the CAA and is ninth in the country by scoring 21.9 points per game. The combination of Roland and freshman Tyson Walker (33.4 ppg) and the Cougars' Riller and Brevin Galloway (33.4 ppg) are tied for 20th-best duo in the NCAA.
1,000-POINT SCORERS
Roland and senior Bolden Brace have both surpassed 1,000 points in their careers. Roland, a native of Syracuse, N.Y. has 1,142 in his career, 866 at Northeastern. Brace, a native of Santa Barbara, Calif., reached the plateau last Thursday night against Hofstra, pushing his total to 1,011 to become the 39th player in school history to do so.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Northeastern and Charleston have split the 14 meetings, 7-7. The Huskies have dropped two straight inside TD Arena and are 3-3 all-time in the building. The Huskies have won two of the last three meetings between the two programs, including a CAA tournament semifinal game victory inside the Charleston Coliseum, 70-67, en route to winning the CAA tournament title.
