BOSTON – Sitting in a three-way tie atop the CAA standings, the Northeastern women's basketball team will compete for the weekend sweep at Cabot Center on Sunday, Jan. 19, when the Huskies cross paths with William & Mary. Sunday's game will air live on NESN with coverage beginning at 2 p.m. All CAA regular season games are also available to watch outside New England on FloHoops.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Series Edge:  Northeastern has won three of its last four games against William & Mary, winning both 2018-19 meetings to slide ahead in the all-time series, 12-11. Considering the series' all-time scoring, the Huskies lead the Tribe by five points: 1,473-1,468. The home team between the two programs has won seven of the last nine meetings.

2. Friday Takeaways:  Sophomore forward Alexis Hill recorded her third consecutive double-double in monster fashion (17 points, 16 rebounds) as Northeastern outlasted Elon in overtime, 68-65. The Huskies began the game with 13 unanswered points across the opening eight and a half minutes and played with the lead until the final minute of regulation. With veterans Ayanna Dublin and Stella Clark both out of the game, NU played the extra period with four underclassmen on the floor – including two non-starters – successfully putting the finishing touches on the Huskies' fourth straight home win.

3. Recipe for Success:  Northeastern is 6-1 this season when holding its opponent to 40 percent shooting or below. The Huskies are also 6-1 when keeping opponents under their 64-point defensive benchmark. NU leads the CAA in conference-only scoring defense (57.0 points allowed per game).

UP NEXT
