THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- The Catamounts: Earlier this season, the Huskies defeated Vermont 4-2 in a tilt at Matthews Arena. The Catamounts most recently took on BC in a two-game series where they lost, 7-5, and tied the Eagles, 2-2. Vermont ranks second in Hockey East and eighth in the country on the power-play, converting 21 of their 105 chances (.200). Maude Poulin-Labelle sits at second in Hockey East in defenseman scoring with 22 points and her teammate Sini Karjalainen is just one spot behind her with 21 points.
- Un, Deux, Trois: Sophomore forward Chloe Aurard scored her third short-handed goal of the season against UConn in the 3-0 victory. Aurard's three short-handed goals are tied for the best mark in the NCAA. The Villard-de-Lans, France native is tied for second in Hockey East with 29 points off 14 goals and 15 assists.
- You Shall Not Pass: The Huskies are currently riding a four-game shutout streak and have only allowed 20 goals through 23 games this season. Northeastern ranks second in the country in goals allowed, behind only Cornell. During the second period, the Huskies have only allowed five goals, the best mark in the country.
