BOSTON— The No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team will host its crosstown rival, No. 8 Boston University on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. on Women in Sports Night in Matthews Arena. Tuesday night's game is set to be aired live on NESN.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- The Terriers: Earlier this season, the Huskies swept BU in a home-and-home series defeating the Terriers 2-1 and 2-0. Sammy Davis leads the Terriers with 29 points off 11 goals and 18 assists. In goal, Kate Stuart and Corinne Schroeder have spilt time recently. Stuart has a .941 save percentage with Schroeder not far behind at .939. The Terriers sit tops among Hockey East teams and fourth in the country on the power play, converting 25 of 92 chances (27.2 percent).
- Frank(el) The Tank: Junior goaltender Aerin Frankel was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week, following her NCAA-best eighth shutout of the season. Additionally, Frankel ranks second in the country in GAA (1.02) and save percentage (.960).
- Money Mueller: Sophomore forward Alina Mueller was most recently named the Hockey East player of the week, following her career-high five-point performance against Vermont. The Winterthur, Switzerland native currently ranks top-five in the NCAA in points per game (1.76) and assists per game (1.14) and sits at first nationally, with six game-winning goals.
