WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Jordan Roland scored 18 points and
Maxime Boursiquot finished with 12 to lead Northeastern (11-11, 5-5 CAA) as the Huskies dropped another tough CAA game in the final seconds to first-place William & Mary (16-7, 8-2 CAA), 59-58, on Thursday night at Kaplan Arena. The Huskies shot a season-low 50 percent (7-for-14) from the free-throw line, while the Tribe shot 86 percent (19-for-22) from the charity stripe.
Bolden Brace went to the free-throw line with 6.8 seconds left and split the two free throws to give the Huskies a 58-57 lead. William & Mary inbounded the ball to Nathan Knight and he dribbled the length of the floor and scored with 1.5 seconds remaining.
Tyson Walker's halfcourt heave was just short as the Tribe earned the season sweep over Northeastern for the first time since the 2015-16 season. Walker finished with 10 points.
The Huskies have lost all five of their conference games by a total of nine points. Northeastern held a 29-24 lead at the half and led for 29 minutes in the game.
Knight finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Tribe, scoring 13 in the second half. Quinn Blair was the only other Tribe player in double figures with 11.
The Huskies will travel to North Carolina to take on Elon on Saturday. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m. on
