BOSTON - Northeastern men's basketball head
coach
Bill Coen will participate in
Coaches vs. Cancer: A discussion with the men's Division 1 basketball coaches of Massachusetts on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. Coen enters his 15th season on the bench for the Huskies and is nine wins shy of matching Jim Calhoun's record of 250 wins from 1972-86.
With questions on the rise about what college basketball will look like this season, coaches across Massachusetts will serve on a zoom webinar discussing the challenges at hand that college basketball will be facing due to all the changes created by COVID-19.
Stadium Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman will serve as the moderator and fans can be part of the virtual roundtable by submitting an RSVP through
Coaches vs. Cancer Splash Page.
Coen is one of the most successful coaches in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and Northeastern history. He ranks No. 2 all-time in CAA history with 163 wins (postseason+regular season) and has led the Huskies to NCAA tournament appearances in 2015 and '19. A total of 24 players have gone on to compete professionally under Coen's tutelage, and Northeastern has won a CAA-best 146 conference games since joining the CAA in 2005-06.
As an active member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), serving on the Board of Directors, Coen will have great insight as to the direction of college basketball and what fans can expect in 2020-21.
