THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1.
Series Edge:Â Northeastern has posted three straight victories against Elon, despite the Huskies trailing the all-time series, 7-4. NU is undefeated in Schar Center (opened August 2018), where the Huskies staged a memorable, 38-4 scoring run during the first half of their 83-57 victory in March 2019. Six Northeastern players finished their scoring in double figures that afternoon, including current Huskies
Ayanna Dublin (14 points),
Alexis Hill (14),
Shannon Todd (12) and
Kendall Currence (10).

2.
Round One:Â Sophomore forward
Alexis Hill posted a monster 17-point, 16-rebound double-double as the Huskies survived their lone overtime game to date of the 2019-20 season, defeating the Phoenix, 68-65. Northeastern opened the game with 13 unanswered points, keeping Elon off the scoreboard through the game's opening eight and a half minutes. Despite leading for the majority of regulation, the Phoenix rallied to take their first lead inside the final minute of the fourth quarter.
Shannon Todd hit a clutch 3-point jumper to help NU extend the game into overtime, where the Huskies clinched their win at the foul line, shooting eight-for-10 during the extra period.

3.
Friday Takeaways:Â Northeastern missed a chance at sweeping its regular season series with third-place William & Mary on Friday, playing to the 80-64 defeat at Kaplan Arena. After weathering seven first-half lead changes, the Huskies resiliently overcame their double-digit deficit to slide within two points of the Tribe midway through the fourth quarter. However, Northeastern was unable to draw any closer as William & Mary responded with nine unanswered points, ending the game by staging a 16-2 scoring run. The Huskies shot 48 percent from the field and sported the +4 edge on the glass, but finished -8 in turnovers, spotting the Tribe nine more field goal attempts.
