BOSTON— Freshman midfielder Alexis Legowski of the Northeastern women's soccer team has been called into training camp and named to the Poland Under-19 National Team roster for the La Manga tournament and European Championships.
 
Legowski will head to training camp from Feb. 29 to March 7 with the U-19s. The training camp will set up the team's trip to the La Manga tournament where they will face Sweden (March 4), Denmark (March 6) and the Netherlands (March 8).
 
The La Manga tournament is a build up for the Elite Round of the European Championships, April 8-14. Poland will face Hungary, Belgium and Slovakia in Group 6, with Poland serving as the hosts. The group winner will join hosts Georgia in the finals from July 21-Aug. 2.
 
Legowski has appeared in 24 games for Poland over eight UEFA Tournaments, one UEFA European Championship and 11 friendlies since 2016.
 
The freshman led all Husky rookies starting and playing in all 19 of Northeastern's games. Legowski was named to the All-CAA Rookie Team and was named the team's Rookie of the Year. Her defensive presence in midfield helped Northeastern to five shutout wins this season.
