BOSTON – With sophomores
Kendall Currence and
Alexis Hill sharing its scoring lead on Sunday, the Northeastern women's basketball team stuck around early with CAA-leading Drexel, despite the Huskies succumbing to the visitors' hot perimeter shooting during their 67-51 defeat at Cabot Center.
Currence and Hill co-led Northeastern (10-12, 6-5 CAA) with 10 points apiece while
Shannon Todd and
Stella Clark added nine and eight points, respectively. Todd funneled in three of her four 3-point attempts, tying Kendra Walton for fifth place on the Huskies' all-time leaderboard (172).

Drexel (17-6, 10-1 CAA) caught fire behind the arc during the first half, where the Dragons shot nine-for-12 from downtown, including their six-for-seven mark during the second quarter. Keishana Washington and Kate Connolly combined to drain eight of Drexel's season-high tying, 10 3-pointers, finishing respectively with 14 and 12 points off the bench.

After Clark's 3-pointer had provided Northeastern with the 5-4 lead, the Dragons responded with 13 unanswered points during the next four-and-a-half minutes of play, carrying the 19-9 lead into the second quarter. Todd's 3-point ball with 5:56 remaining in the half kept the Huskies within 10 points of Drexel at 28-18, but the Dragons missed only once from the field down the stretch, commanding the 41-22 lead at the intermission.

Northeastern recorded each of its three takeaways during the second half, where the Huskies outscored Drexel, 29-26.

Bailey Greenberg notched a double-double for the Dragons, tallying 14 points and 10 rebounds.
