Jordan Roland and
Bolden Brace finished with 25 and 14 points, respectively, to lead Northeastern (15-15, 9-9 CAA) in a 75-72 loss to Towson (19-12, 12-6 CAA) on Sunday inside Matthews Arena. The Huskies had a chance to tie the game as time expired, but the 3-pointer was just off the mark.
Shaquille Walters dished out a career-best nine assists to go with his 12 points.
Maxime Boursiquot was the final NU player in double figures with 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
Neither team had a double-digit lead in the game, and there were 11 ties and 10 lead changes. The Huskies' bench was outscored 17-5 in the game and Towson made 18-of-23 shots from the free-throw line, while Northeastern went 9-for-12.
Jason Gibson and Brian Fobbs led the Tigers with 18 points each. Nakye Sanders finished with 12 points, eight of those coming from the charity stripe.
Northeastern will be the No. 6 seed at the CAA tournament in Washington, D.C., March 7-10. The Huskies will battle the No. 3 seed Towson Tigers on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The game will be streamed on
