CHARLESTON, S.C. – Behind
Alexis Hill's career-high scoring afternoon at College of Charleston on Sunday, the Northeastern women's basketball team rallied from 15 points down during the fourth quarter to force overtime, where the Huskies succumbed to the Cougars, 66-61, at TD Arena.

Hill paired 28 points with 12 rebounds to lead the Huskies, recording the fifth double-double and the fourth 20-point scoring game of her 2019-20 season. The sophomore forward shot 11-for-17 from the field and hit all six of her free throws, including the two that tied the game at 54-54 with 5.2 seconds remaining in regulation.

Northeastern (12-16, 8-9 CAA) trailed, 52-37, with 5:09 left in the fourth quarter before inducing eight Charleston turnovers down the stretch, compiling 11 unanswered points to pull within 52-48 outside two minutes to go. Hill accounted for the Huskies' final six points of regulation as NU completed its 17-2 run to extend the game into overtime.

After Northeastern had taken the 59-58 lead with two minutes to go in the extra period, Tyler Collins knocked down the jumper that put College of Charleston (13-14, 6-10 CAA) ahead for good. The Cougars proceeded to ice their victory at the free throw line, shooting six-for-six to close the game.

Shannon Todd followed Hill's team scoring lead with 15 points, providing NU with its lone 3-point make of the game (19 attempts). The Huskies outpaced Charleston, 38-22, in interior scoring, but conceded the 25-17 margin in points off turnovers.

Taylor Williams paced the hosts with 22 points and 13 rebounds while Latrice Perkins charted 14 points and five steals.
