Men's Rowing Season Review for 2019-20

BOSTON - The Huskies had a strong fall season leading into spring where Coronavirus (COVID-19) ended all the spring sports across the NCAA in late March, including the same decision being made by the IRA. This happened right before the men's rowing team was going to embark on their spring competition in the hopes of improving on Northeastern's fifth-place finish at nationals in 2019.

FALL HIGHLIGHTS

Won the Foot of the Charles (Nov. 16) race in the Varsity Eight with a time of 12:18.7, seven seconds ahead of Harvard
- Will Dempsey (C), Gus Kynast (S), Leif Carlson (7), Alexander Abuhoff (6), Nick Fisher (5), Will Clarke (4), J.C. Sanzone (3), Spencer Brennessel (2) and Jack Waiss (B)
Tallied a sixth-place finish at the Head of the Charles (Oct. 19-20) in the Varisty Eight with a time of 15:07.731
- Christopher Freedman (C), Spencer Brennessel (S), Carl Serhan (7), Leif Carlson (6), Rex Berger (5), Jameson Godsey (4), Brendan McCarthy (3), Barrett Varnson (2), Adrian Tarr (B)
Recorded a second-place finish at the Boston Long Pairs Race (Nov. 9) with Jasper Angl (S) and Braeden Camp (B) out of 32 pairs
Varsity Four A team of George Doty (C), Rhett Burns (S), Braeden Camp (3), Jasper Angl (2) and Jan Hennecke (B) raced to third with a time of 12:58.6, just 0.00.2 behind Brown's Club Four A team

Completed spring training trip down in Florida before season was cancelled by the IRA
