Jasper Angl and
Ole Kruse took home gold at the 2020 European Rowing Under-23 Championships in the men's 8+ event, the first international regatta in 2020. Angl, a junior from Konstanz, Germany, and Kruse, a senior from Münster, Germany, helped the Huskies earn a fifth-place finish at the 2019 IRA Championships.
Representing Germany in the men's 8+ event, Angl sat in stroke seat while Kruse was in seat five. After a prior win at a German selection regatta, placing them as the top pair on the team, the duo led the team strongly to the championships on the priority men's 8+. Joining 650 other athletes from 31 nations to compete in 132 races for one of the 22 championship titles, Angl and Kruse continued their success during their time away from the Huskies.
