BEST STARTS IN CAA PLAY
The Huskies are 4-0 in CAA play for the fourth time in program history. With a win on Saturday, the Huskies will be 5-0 for just the third time since joining the league in 2005-06. The best start for the Red and Black is eight straight wins to start the 2012-13 CAA season en route to winning the regular-season championship at 14-4.
WALKER NAMED CAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophomore point guard
Tyson Walker earned his second CAA Player of the Week distinction on Monday after helping the Huskies sweep Hofstra for the first time since the 2014-15 season. A native of Westbury, N.Y., Walker averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 assists per game in the two wins, including a game-high 23 points on Saturday in a 67-56 win. Walker connected on a career-best 7-of-13 threes and handed out a career-high nine assists last Thursday night, leading NU back from 19 points down in the second half to defeat the Pride, 81-78, in overtime.
Walker leads the CAA with 5.6 assists per game (#31 in NCAA), ranks third with 1.9 steals per game and is eighth in scoring with 16.4 points per game. He has three 20-plus point games (#3 in CAA) and reached double figures in seven straight games, 9-of-10 on the season.
COEN CHASING HISTORY
Entering his 15th season,
Bill Coen has led the Huskies to a CAA-best 150 league victories since taking over as head coach. Northeastern has made the CAA Championship Game in three consecutive seasons (2018, '19, '20) and made a league-best five title games since 2013. Coen is 246-218 (.530) in his career at NU, just four wins shy of the all-time record held by Hall of Fame Coach Jim Calhoun from 1972-86.
SERIES NOTES
The Huskies swept the Cougars last season, including a thrilling 17-point second-half comeback inside TD Arena, defeating Charleston 79-76. Northeastern has won three straight games in the all-time series and lead 9-7, and are 4-3 in Charleston. NU and Charleston played two of the best CAA tournament games in back-to-back seasons (2018, '19), with the Cougars taking the overtime win in 2018 (83-76) to earn the NCAA tournament bid, while Northeastern upended the Cougars in the 2019 semifinals, 70-67, to make its ninth NCAA tournament appearance.

The Huskies are scheduled to return to Boston and take on James Madison (5-4, 0-0 CAA) next weekend, Jan. 23-24, inside the Cabot Center. Northeastern is riding an eight-game home court winning streak and the Huskies are 15-1 on Solomon Court over their last 16 contests.
