CHARLESTON, S.C.
- Chris Doherty tipped in his only field goal of the game with 15 seconds left, while Jahmyl Telfort scored a team-high 16 and Shaquille Walters posted 15 points and eight rebounds to lead Northeastern (7-5, 6-0 CAA) over College of Charleston (5-8, 3-3 CAA), 68-66, on Sunday at TD Arena. The Huskies picked up a pair of stops late, including at the end of the game to stay undefeated in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Tyson Walker finished with 10 points and a game-high six assists, reaching double figures for the ninth straight game. After not scoring on Saturday, Coleman Stucke made 2-of-3 shots from behind the arc and finished with eight points for the Huskies. Eight of the nine players that entered the game for Northeastern scored.

Northeastern led by as many as 15 points in the first half, but Charleston used a 14-0 run to take its first lead of the game, 42-40 (13:07). The Huskies and Cougars would play a tight game for the rest of the contest, as Northeastern regained the lead on a dunk by Telfort with 2:56 remaining. The final two minutes witnessed two ties and two lead changes before Doherty made the game winner to give the Huskies a season-best six-game winning streak.

Charleston's Brenden Tucker led all scorers with 20 points, while Zep Jasper and Payton Willis each had 10 for the Cougars.

The Huskies are 6-0 in CAA play for just the third time in program history. The best start for Northeastern came in 2012-13, winning eight straight to open the conference season that year en route to capturing the CAA regular-season title at 14-4.
