BOSTON - Northeastern (4-5, 3-0 CAA) will host Colonial Athletic Association defending champion and preseason favorite Hofstra (6-4, 2-1 CAA) on Saturday inside Cabot Center on Solomon Court. The game will tip at Noon and will be televised on NESN.

BEST STARTS IN CAA PLAY
The Huskies are off to a 3-0 start for the second consecutive season, and sixth time in program history. Northeastern has not started 4-0 in CAA play since beginning the 2016-17 season 5-0. Northeastern's best start to league play was in 2012-13, going 8-0 en route to winning the regular-season championship with a 14-4 record.

RIVALRY 2.0
Northeastern and Hofstra have met in the last two CAA Championship games with the Huskies winning the 2019 title and the Pride capturing the 2020 crown. The Huskies and Pride find themselves at the top of the CAA standings once again. The Pride are the CAA preseason favorites, while Northeastern was picked seventh by the league coaches and media.

On Thursday night, the Huskies rallied from 19 points down in the second half to win 81-78 in overtime in Hempstead, N.Y. Shaquille Walters filled the box score with a career-high 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Walters went 3-for-3 from behind the arc in the extra session, scoring 9-of-13 points for the Huskies in OT.

COEN EYEING ALL-TIME WINS RECORD
Bill Coen enters his 15th season as head coach and is second all-time with 245 wins, trailing former Hall of Fame Coach Jim Calhoun's 250 from 1972-86. Coen's 166 wins in CAA regular season and postseason play rank second all-time in conference history.

WAKER LEADS CAA IN ASSISTS
Sophomore Tyson Walker dished out a career-high nine assists in the win at Hofstra on Thursday night and leads the CAA with 5.7 assists per game. A native of Westbury, N.Y., Walker has reached double figures in six consecutive games and is ninth in the conference with a 15.7 scoring average.
