BOSTON – Departing on its first CAA road trip of the season, the Northeastern women's basketball team will look to even its regular season series against Hofstra on Saturday, Jan. 9, when the Huskies visit the Pride at the David S. Mack Sports & Exhibition Center. Saturday's game (and every CAA game) will air live on FloHoops with coverage beginning at 2 p.m.
Â
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1.
Thursday Takeaways:Â Northeastern heads into Hofstra on Saturday eager to flip the outcome of Thursday's 68-57 defeat against the Pride and level the season series. After starting slow and trailing by double digits at halftime, the Huskies controlled an 18-4 run during a six-minute stretch of the second half, closing within five points, 50-45, midway through the fourth quarter. However, NU was unable to bounce back from the deficit caused by its 15 first half turnovers, allowing Hofstra to shoot 50 percent from the field and earn the 11-point victory.
Mide Oriyomi led the Huskies with 17 points and five rebounds while
Stella Clark added 12 points, five rebounds and five assists.

2.
Riding the Hot Hands:Â Sophomore forward
Mide Oriyomi has led Northeastern in scoring during each of the team's opening three CAA games, averaging 19.7 points per league affair. Oriyomi is shooting 59.5 percent against conference foes and leads the Huskies on the boards, hauling in 6.7 per CAA game. The Hamilton, Ontario, native – one of four NU players to hail from hometowns outside the United States – notched her first two career 20-point scoring games against Delaware, polishing her first career double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) on Jan. 4 before bumping her career scoring high to 22 points on Jan. 5.
3.
Keep Grinding: Saturday's CAA game at Hofstra will mark Northeastern's fourth game in six days – the shortest stretch during which NU has played four games under head coach
Kelly Cole's seven seasons as head coach. Prior to this week, the Huskies' busiest stretch of games under coach Cole had taken place during a four-game, seven-day week in November 2016 that featured three appearances at the Cancun Challenge in Mexico during Thanksgiving break.
