  • Northeastern is 4-0 in CAA play for the first time since 2016-17 season
    • This is the fourth time NU has started CAA play 4-0
    • 8-0 in 2012-13, finished 14-4 (won CAA regular season)
    • 6-0 in 2008-09, finished 12-6 (4th place)
    • 5-0 in 2016-17, finished 8-10 (6th place)
    • 4-0 in 2020-21
  • The Huskies are riding a season-best four-game winning streak
  • The Red and Black have won eight straight inside the Cabot Center
  • NU is a perfect 4-0 at home this season and 15-1 on Solomon Court in the last 16
  • Northeastern took a season-high 37 shots from behind the arc and made a season-high 15
    • The Red and Black went 9-for-18 on the second half from 3-point range
    • The 37 attempts are the most since taking 36 in an OT game at Elon on Feb. 23, 2017
  • The Huskies are 4-1 this season when leading at the half, taking a 30-21 lead into the break today

    • Tyson Walker ended the scoring drought with three triples in a row

  • The Huskies countered with a 16-1 run from 9:48 to 2:54 to seize control of the game
  • The win gives NU its first sweep over Hofstra since the 2014-15 season
  • Bill Coen won his 246th game at Northeastern; four shy of the all-time record of 250 held by Hall of Fame Coach Jim Calhoun from 1972-86
  • This marks the 101st season of basketball at Northeastern
  • The Huskies are 1,255-1,143 all-time
  • With a 3-pointer tonight, the Huskies extend their streak to 229 straight games with at least one triple

Junior Jason Strong
  • Posted 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting
  • Went 4-for-9 from beyond the arc
  • Is 8-for-14 (57%) from 3-point range in last 2 games
  • Tallied 5 rebounds and a personal-best 2 blocked shots
  • Made a 3-pointer in every game this season
 
Freshman Jahmyl Telfort
  • Grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds
  • Finished with 7 points and 4 assists
  • Snapped an 0-for-14 streak from 3 with a big triple late in second half (3:34)
  • Had a strong offensive rebound and putback with just under 2 minutes left to push the lead back to 10 points
 
Sophomore Tyson Walker
  • Scored a game-high 23 points
  • Made a career-high 7 3-pointers
  • Reached double figures for the seventh straight game
  • Third 20-point game of the season
  • Dished out 5 assists and blocked his first shot of the season
 
Junior Shaquille Walters
  • Finished with a season-high 7 assists
  • Added 7 points and 2 rebounds
  • Had 2 steals and 1 blocked shot
