TOWSON, Md. – Junior
Lauren Rowe recorded a hat trick to lead the Northeastern field hockey team (5-10, 2-3 CAA) past Towson (3-12, 1-5 CAA) in a 4-0 win on Friday, Oct. 22nd at Towson University Field Hockey Complex.
- Rowe (9) scored two of her goals off penalty strokes and is now 4-4 on penalty strokes so far this season. She finished the game with a penalty corner goal assisted by sophomore Sarah Coyle late in the fourth quarter.
- Rowe's three goals marks the CAA's first hat trick of the season.
- Senior Lexie Dunleavy got the Huskies on the board with her second goal of the season. Redshirt senior Angela Connolly dished the ball to Dunleavy who then ripped a shot from the top of the circle.
- The Huskies dominated the Tigers in shots on goal (24-0) and penalty corners (16-4).
- Redshirt senior Erin Savage recorded her first shutout of the season.
- Towson's goalie, graduate student Lena Vandam, had 18 saves.
The Northeastern field hockey team will return to Dedham Field on Sunday, Oct. 24th as they host a Pride Game versus No. 13 Boston College at 12 p.m. The game will be streamed on
