NEWARK, Del. –
Redshirt senior Erin Savage made a career-high 14 saves to lead the Northeastern field hockey team (7-12, 3-3 CAA) as their season came to an end with a hard-fought overtime loss to No. 24 James Madison (12-6, 6-0 CAA) in the CAA Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 5 at Fred P. Rullo Stadium.
  • Savage held down the Huskies' defense while facing 16 shots on goal and 13 penalty corners.
  • Sophomore Mak Graves scored her 10th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1 in the fourth quarter of the game. An aerial from junior Lauren Rowe got past JMU's defense which led to Graves capitalizing on a one-on-one with the goalie.
  • Graves (5-5) and sophomore Sarah Coyle (4-4) both finished with a perfect shot on goal percentage.
  • James Madison recorded their first goal off a penalty corner and scored the winning goal with under a minute left in the second overtime period.
