BOSTON – Trailing 48-28 with 16 minutes left in the game, the Northeastern men's basketball team (5-4) stormed back to take the lead with four minutes remaining in regulation to knock off Colgate (3-5) on Friday night at Matthews Arena.
Jahmyl Telfort led five Huskies in double-figures, the most in a game this season, with 18 points on 8-of-12 from the field. Redshirt seniorÂ

Northeastern trailed by 14 at halftime thanks to 54% shooting (15-of-28) from the Raiders, including 7-of-14 from deep. Colgate finished 25-of-52 overall after a 10-of-24 performance in the second half. Nelly Cummings led three Raiders in double figures with 18 points (7-of-15 shooting) and five assists.

An 11-5 run to start the second half ballooned the Colgate lead up to 20 with 16:10 to go before Northeastern started to chip away, cutting it to 10 with 10:52 left and all the way down to one with 4:35 left.
That set the table for Walters as Northeastern regained possession off a rebound and Walters sunk a jump shot to give the team its first lead (61-60) since the 17:34 mark of the first half (2-0).

The last time that the Huskies overcame a 15–20-point deficit was back in January when Hofstra held a 19-point lead with 19:30 minutes left and Northeastern went on to win the game 81-78 in overtime.Â
The Huskies shot 51.9% (27-for-52) overall and 6-for-18 from three, and recorded a season-low nine turnovers. In his second game back since being out with an injury, Scott-Grayson recorded a season-high 12 points, four rebounds and two assists. The team combined for 30 rebounds with Doherty and Strong leading the team with seven each.Â
