STORRS, Conn. -- Rose Kaefer posted three shots with one shot on goal, to lead Northeastern (1-2-1, 0-0-0 CAA) in a 2-0 loss against UConn (2-0-0, 0-0-0 Big East) on Sunday afternoon at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. 

Angeline Friel made three saves on the day, while Halle McCabe, Alexis Legowski, Mikenna McManus, Katarina Nilsson, and Gaby Scarlett each earned a shot on the Huskies attack. McManus also posted three corner kick attempts in her 90 minutes of play. 

Kaefer's three shot attempts came from a header opportunity in the first half which led to a corner kick chance for the Huskies, as well as two shots in the second half, one high and one stopped by UConn's goalkeeper. 

The Huskies will face Rhode Island on Sunday, March 7 at home, kickoff is at 1 p.m. at Parsons Field.
