BOX SCORE (PDF) | POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE

BOSTON – Aerin Frankel earned her third record of the season with her 25th Hockey East conference shutout after No. 3 Northeastern (13-1-1 HEA) defeated Holy Cross (3-12-0 HEA) 12-0 on Saturday inside Matthews Arena. The Huskies are on a nation-best 13-game unbeaten streak (12-0-1) and have not allowed a goal in over 380 minutes, including a career-high 320:02 for Frankel who had 12 saves on the night. This was the Huskies fourth home-and-home sweep of the season, outscoring the Crusaders a combined 20-0 and it's their third sweep while shutting out the opponent in both games.

Skylar Fontaine and Katie Cipra each notched two goals while Alina Mueller, Chloe Aurard, Mia Brown, Veronika Pettey, Katy Knoll, Megan Carter, Peyton Anderson and Tessa Ward all tallied goals for the Huskies as they outshot the Crusaders 55-12. Mueller added four helpers, while Knoll notched three followed by Carter and Miceala Sindoris who each had a pair.

With this win, Frankel recorded her fifth consecutive shutout, and seventh of the season. The New York native overtakes the previous record holder, Katie Burt of Boston College and her previous 24 career shutout conference wins from 2014-18.

For the second-consecutive night the Huskies went 3-for-5 on the power play, while 11 different Huskies had multiple points in the win.
