Jared Dupere went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in the game's only run to lead Northeastern (16-6, 4-0 CAA) to a 1-0 win over Delaware (8-11, 3-4 CAA) in game one of a Colonial Athletic Association doubleheader at Friedman Diamond on Friday. RHP

Eric Yost earned his first collegiate save, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.
Scott Holzwasser extended his on-base streak to 40 games with a base hit in the first inning.
Danny Crossen smashed his second triple of the season and
Jeff Costello added a hit for the Huskies.
The only run of the game came in the bottom of the first inning as Holzwasser singled to center field and scored on a double by Dupere off the left-center field fence. Dupere extended his hitting streak to 10 games, while Holzwasser is riding an eight-game hitting streak now.
RHP Chris Ludman (3-4) tossed a complete game for the Blue Hens, allowing five hits, one run and struck out seven. Joseph Carpenter led UD offensively, tallying two of the Blue Hens'
 five hits in the game.
