BROOKLINE, Mass.
- Danny Crossen drove in the game-winning runs with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, while left-handed pitcher James Quinlivan (2-0) earned the win in relief and RHP Eric Yost picked up his second save of the day with a scoreless ninth inning to lead Northeastern (17-6, 5-0 CAA) to a come-from-behind win over Delaware (8-12, 3-5 CAA), 6-5, in game two of the Colonial Athletic Association doubleheader on Friday at Friedman Diamond. The Huskies took game one over the Blue Hens, 1-0, behind 6.0 scoreless innings from RHP Kyle Murphy (3-0).

Crossen finished 1-for-2 with a walk and three runs batted in. Scott Holzwasser extended his on-base streak to 41 games with a 3-for-4 performance, scoring three runs, and Jared Dupere extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a 1-for-1 performance, earning three walks and one hit-by-pitch.

Starting pitcher Wyatt Scotti tossed 6.0 strong innings, scattering four hits and allowing just one run with five strikeouts in the no decision. Quinlivan pitched Northeastern out of a bases loaded, no outs jam, allowing just one hit over his 1.0 inning, and Yost fanned 2-of-4 batters faced to earn the save.

Jeff Costello would drive in the first run of the game for the Huskies in the third inning and the Delaware right fielder misplayed the ball to allow a second run to score as NU led 2-1 after three innings of play. Crossen delivered a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning to score the third run of the game, and Costello hit a sac fly in the seventh inning to give the Huskies a 4-1 lead.

Delaware would score four runs in the top of the eighth inning to take the lead, 5-4, highlighted by a two-RBI single up the middle by Jordan Hutchins. The Huskies would respond with two runs in the bottom half of the inning as Crossen took an 0-2 pitch to left-center field to score Holzwasser and Dupere.

The Huskies and Blue Hens will play a CAA doubleheader on Saturday at Friedman Diamond. The games will start at 11 a.m. and will be streamed on FloBaseball and will air on WRBB 104.9 FM.
