David Stiehl picked up his first save of the season with a perfect ninth inning, and
Danny Crossen finished 2-for-4 to lead Northeastern (23-6, 11-0 CAA) to a 3-1 victory over Towson (15-29, 5-7 CAA) on Sunday at Friedman Diamond. The Huskies are riding a NCAA-best 13-game winning streak.
The 23-6 start to the season matches the best in program history (1991) and the 11-0 start to Colonial Athletic Association play is the best since UNCW began 11-0 in 2005. NU is outscoring opponents 81-31 during this 13-game winning streak and are 19-1 over its last 20 ballgames.

Wyatt Scotti made another quality start, working 7.0 strong innings, allowing just two hits, one run and struck out seven in a no decision. RHP
Jake Gigliotti (2-0) earned the win in relief, throwing a scoreless eighth inning.
With the score tied at 1-1 in the eighth inning,
Ben Malgeri doubled to left-center field and Fair followed with a triple to right-center field to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead.
JP Olson then drove in Fair with a sacrifice fly to center field to give Northeastern a two-run lead that Stiehl made hold up with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
The Huskies are currently scheduled to host Hofstra for CAA play this Friday-Sunday, May 7-9, at Friedman Diamond. Friday's game will be televised on NESN+ at 2 p.m. and Northeastern will recognize its seniors on Sunday before the game.
