  • NU improves to 26-1 this season when scoring first
  • The Red and Black advance to their second CAA Championship Game and force a winner-take-all game with UNCW for the NCAA automatic bid

  • This was just the second extra-inning game for Northeastern this season, 1-1 record

  • UNCW leads the all-time series 32-15-1
  • The Huskies and Seahawks met in the 2018 CAA Championship where Northeastern defeated UNCW, 3-2, but then fell 7-4 in the winner-take-all game

Senior Scott Holzwasser (DH)
  • Crushed a home run
  • Went 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored
 
Freshman Wyatt Scotti (RHP)
  • Worked 7.0 strong innings and led 4-2 when he came out of the game
  • Scattered 7 hits and 2 runs
  • Struck out 4 and had 0 walks
  • Threw 7 or more innings for the third time this season
 
Sophomore Ben Malgeri (CF)
  • Smacked a career-best 2 home runs
  • Led the team with a 3-for-5 performance
  • Drove in a team-best 3 runs
  • Went 6-for-9 on the day in wins over Charleston and UNCW
 
Senior David Stiehl (RHP)
  • Earned save No. 2 on the season
  • Entered the game in the 10th inning with runners at 1st and 2nd and no outs
  • Induced a huge 4-6-3 double play to pitch out of the jam
 
Freshman Max Viera (2B)
  • Reached base in 31 of 32 games played this season
  • Finished 1-for-4 with a run scored and RBI
