BOX SCORE (PDF)

BROOKLINE, Mass. –
Wyatt Scotti threw a career-high eight innings while only letting up two hits and no runs, plus Jared Dupere, Danny Crossen, JP Olson and Spenser Smith each had a pair of RBIs to lead Northeastern (27-6, 15-0 CAA) in a 11-0 win and four-game home sweep over Hofstra (15-19, 6-13 CAA) to extend their NCAA leading win streak to 17 and CAA record win streak to start a season to 15 in a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Friedman Diamond.

Scotti ended his day with two strikeouts while giving up zero walks and improves his record to 4-1 on the season.

Scott Holzwasser scored two runs and broke the Huskies stolen base record with his 77th career swipe passing Charlie McConnell (2016-18).

Ryan Cervone got the scoring going in the bottom of the first with an RBI single up the middle plating Dupere and ended up going 2-for-3 with one RBI. The Huskies kept the foot on the pedal in the second inning as Smith hit an RBI single scoring Ian Fair and had an RBI ground out in the seventh. In the third, Crossen hit a pop up between the second baseman and right fielder that found it's way to the ground scoring another and the rout was on. In the fifth, Crossen grounded out while another Husky crossed the plate.

Fair went 2-for-4 and had a sac fly in the fifth while in the seventh JP Olson hit a two RBI triple. It is the first triple of his career.

Dupere hit his CAA leading 15th home run of the season, a two-run mammoth shot over the right field bleachers, in the eighth which puts him in a tie with Tim Daley (1997), Rob Fonseca (2015) and Derek Gauthier (1994) for second in NU single-season history and he also scored three runs on the day. He raised his slugging percentage to .832 and batting average to .376 while going 2-for-3 in the win.

Kyle Peterson put the capper on the win with an RBI single to center scoring Fair later in the eighth.

The Huskies end their home portion of the schedule going 21-2 at Friedman Diamond. They'll hit the road now for a single-game at Hofstra on Wednesday at 1 p.m. to make-up a rainout earlier in the season and then will head to Delaware for a weekend four-game series.
