BOSTON-- Northeastern women's ice hockey alumnae Rachel Llanes has been named to the Chinese Olympic Ice Hockey Team for the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Llanes '14 is set to become a first-time Olympian representing China in the upcoming Olympic games. She finished her Northeastern career, appearing in 139 games amassing 102 points off 41 goals and 61 assists.

During her time with the Huskies, Llanes earned Hockey East honorable mention laurels, All-Academic team honors and was named Northeastern's Seventh Player Award winner.

Llanes joins four other women's ice hockey players with ties to Northeastern at the Olympics. Current student-athlete
Alina Mueller is representing the Swiss National team, while Denisa Krizova is on the Czech Republic team and Kendall Coyne Schofield and Hayley Scamurra are on Team USA.
