No. 3 Huskies Set for Home-and-Home with Merrimack

BOSTON— The No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team is set for a home-and-home series with the Merrimack Warriors beginning on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. in North Andover. The Huskies will then host the Warriors in Matthews Arena on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m.

Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+ and an international stream is available for both games as well.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. WEEKEND RECAP: Northeastern opened Hockey East play with a sweep of then-No. 15 UConn last weekend. The Huskies outscored UConn 7-1 over the two games, with senior Katy Knoll scoring three of those goals.
  2. MONEY MUELLER: Graduate student forward Alina Mueller has continued to write her name in the record books this season. Mueller tallied her 21st career game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over UConn to set a new program record, passing Kendall Coyne Schofield. Additionally, Mueller posted her 200th career point off an assist on Maureen Murphy's goal in the 4-1 win at UConn. Mueller is just the third player in program history to reach the 200-point milestone, joining Coyne Schofield and Hillary Witt.
  3. PHILIPS WITH ONE 'L': Senior netminder Gwyneth Philips picked up her first shutout of the season on Friday against Connecticut. Philips now has seven shutouts in her career, and owns a career record of 17-1-0. She is averaging a .52 GAA and .973 save percentage this season.
The Huskies will next travel to Maine for a two-game series beginning on Friday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.
