BOSTON - The Northeastern men's soccer team (3-7-3, 2-3-1 CAA) travels to South Carolina this weekend to face off with the College of Charleston (4-4-4, 2-2-2 CAA) this Saturday afternoon at noon on FloFC.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- FINAL PUSH: With three conference contests left, the Huskies find themselves one point out of a playoff position, as th top six teams in the CAA make the conference tournament. Charleston sits one spot above Northeastern, with eight points to Northeastern's seven.
- TELLEZ TALLIES: Federico Tellez notched his third goal of the 2022 season, converting the penalty kick at UNH to tie the game 1-1 in the first half. He's tallied three goals in just seven games played this season. His point total is now tied for the team lead at six with Ryan Massoud (2g, 2a).
- ON THE ROAD AGAIN: This will be the Huskies' first road CAA match since September 24 - the Huskies took a 1-0 victory from Stony Brook on Long Island in that game. The Huskies are 2-1-0 in road CAA matches this season with wins over SBU and Elon, and a loss to Hofstra.
The Huskies return home for their last two home contests of the regular season, next Tuesday, October 18 at 6pm. Tuesday's game is the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.
