Huskies Host BU Tuesday at Parsons

BOSTON - The Northeastern men's soccer team (3-8-3) hosts its last non-conference game of the regular season, hosting cross-town rival Boston University (4-3-6) on Tuesday, October 18, at 6pm. The game will serve as the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness game, partnering with Northeastern Relay for Life. The game will be broadcast on FloFC.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. DIRTY WATER DERBY: The Huskies and Terriers have traded victories in the last two meetings between the schools - last season the Huskies held a 1-0 halftime lead, but three unanswered goals from the Terriers claimed the 3-1 victory at Nickerson Field. In 2019, the scoreless draw between the two clubs was halted in double overtime, when a penalty kick by Timothy Ennin clinched a home victory for the Huskies.
  2. KEEP SHOOTING: The last seven games for the Huskies have been decided by a one-goal margin - despite going 1-6-0 in that stretch, the Huskies have out-shot opponents in all but one game, with a margin of 81-55 overall, 32-22 on goal. Sophomore Federico Tellez sits fourth in the CAA with 2.63 shots per game, and is the team leader in goals with three.
  3. HOME STRETCH: The Huskies play their final two regular season home games this week - they host BU on Tuesday night, and William & Mary in a CAA matchup this Saturday, October 22, at 1pm for Senior and Alumni Day. The Huskies will wrap up the regular season at Delaware on Saturday, October 29.
