DEDHAM, Mass. – The Northeastern field hockey team (2-8, 1-0 CAA) was bested by UMass Lowell (8-3, 3-1 America East) today at Dedham Field, 4-2.
- The Riverhawks got on the board first with 1:13 left in the opening quarter to take a 1-0 lead.
- UMass Lowell added another with 13 minutes remaining in the second quarter to hold a 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break.
- The Huskies struck quick in the second half on a goal from Mak Graves, her sixth of the year, to cut the deficit in half just 45 seconds into the second half.
- The Riverhawks answered quickly four minutes later to regain a two-goal lead heading into the final frame.
- The Riverhawks added another to take a 4-1 lead with just over 10 minutes remaining in the contest.
- Emilia Adragna found the back of the net for the fourth time this season on a penalty corner chance to make it 4-2 with 3:12 to go. Sarah Coyle sent it in and Lara Taylor assisted the goal for the Huskies.
Northeastern will be back in action for a matchup with Boston University at Dedham Field on Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FloLive.
