DEDHAM, Mass. – The Northeastern field hockey team (2-9, 1-0 CAA) dropped a hard-fought battle to Boston University (7-6, 4-0 Patriot League), 2-1, in overtime.
- The Terriers got on the board late in the first quarter to take a 1-0 off of a penalty stroke.
- Northeastern answered on a goal from Emmy Stubbs with 2:26 remaining in the first half on an assist from Emilia Adragna. The goal was Stubbs sixth of the year and the assist was Adragna's third on the season.
- After a scoreless second half, the game went to overtime where the Terriers found the game winner just over five minutes into the first frame.
- The Huskies held a 7-0 penalty corner advantage in the first half and 8-6 overall.
- Both teams had six shots on goal, but the Terriers owned a 4-0 shot advantage in the overtime period.
Northeastern will be back in action on Wednesday night at No. 19 Boston College.
