BOSTON – Sophomore setter
Jessica Frannea tallied her 1,000
th career assist, and three Huskies notched double-digit kill performances to lead the Northeastern volleyball team (8-10, 5-4 CAA) to a five-set victory over Stony Brook (9-11, 4-7 CAA) on Saturday afternoon at the Cabot Center.

Erica Staunton paced the Huskies offense with 20 kills and 14 digs, her fourth double-double of the season. Senior middle blocker
Nailah Jenkins and graduate student
Laura Seeger also had a strong day with 13 kills and 11 kills respectively.

33 assists away from 1,000 for her career, Frannea notched the milestone in the third set. The senior then finished the match in style with a career high 58 assists and 11 digs, her fifth double-double of the season.

- Senior middle blocker Anya Korbut chipped in with nine kills and four blocks.
- Senior libero Kayla Martin tallied a team-high 20 digs and four service aces.
- Jenkins also had a stellar day from the service line with a team-high five aces.
- Graduate student middle blocker Nikiya Mitchell recorded a team-high seven blocks and six kills.
- Northeastern outhit Stony Brook .370 to .306 in the match, and .579 to .158 in the fifth set.
Northeastern will face Stony Brook again on Sunday, October 23. First serve is slated for 2 pm, and can be watched on NESN/FloVolleyball.
