Huskies Blank Drexel On The Road, 1-0

PHILADELPHIA – A fourth quarter goal from Mak Graves and three saves from Jonna Kennedy were the difference for the Northeastern field hockey team (4-12, 3-2), which earned a hard fought victory on the road over Drexel on Sunday at Buckley Field, 1-0.

With the victory, Northeastern improves to 3-2 in league play with one conference game still to play.

• After more than 45 minutes of scoreless play, Northeastern broke through with 12:49 remaining in regulation when Graves took a touch from Sarah Coyle off a corner opportunity and hammered home her first of the season following an entry from Maria Armaganian.

• Drexel outshot the Huskies 8-5 on the afternoon, while Kennedy made three saves to collect Northeastern's second shutout of the season. Megan Hadfield had one stop for the Dragons, which generated seven corner chances to the Huskies' two.

The Huskies will return home for the final weekend of the regular season, beginning Friday against Towson (4 p.m.).
