Murphy Named to USA Roster for November Rivalry Series Games

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Maureen Murphy of the Northeastern women's hockey team was named to the November roster for USA Hockey for the 2022-23 Rivalry Series with Canada. Murphy will join Husky alums Kendall Coyne Schofield, Hayley Scamurra and Aerin Frankel on the roster.
 
The November roster will compete in three games for the Rivalry Series from Nov. 15-20. The first game will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 10 p.m. at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia. Game two is Thursday, Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. at Sandman Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia. The final game of the series is Sunday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Wash.
 
This marks Murphy's first call up to the Senior U.S. Women's National Team, she last competed for Team USA in the Collegiate Series against Canada this past summer.
 
The Buffalo, New York native is off to a strong start for the Huskies this season, posting two goals and 10 assists for a team-high 12 points. Murphy's 10 assist are tied for the third-best mark in the country.
 
Murphy and the Huskies are back in action with a home-and-home series against No. 13 Providence beginning with a road tilt on Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.
